120215 Building agent list

Wednesday, 15 February, 2012 I'm re-doing my agent list. I actually find this fun, strangely enough. I have not yet decided to:

1. Go with traditional publishing only - in which case I need an agent and/or publisher.

2. Self-publish through any of several POD (print on Demand) publishers.

3. Go with making my own ebook(s) (and, if so, with which of many companies).

4. Sell the books directly off my own web site. I have already created a separate PayPal ...

120201 Web site updated!

Wednesday, 1 February, 2012: I have totally redone the www.corcet.com web site. Looks great!

Also uploaded, last night, chapters 1-5 of The Firestone, the first book in the series. I'll add more, little by little. (They're all written; I just like to tease you.) I'll probably upload ten or fifteen chapters ( there are twenty-five, total) but if you want to read the ending, you have to buy the book!

Meantime, Book two, The Emeraldstone is also done. I'm about a third into book three, The Sandstone, ...

Web Site Revision Underway

Monday, 13 June, 2011 A revision of the Sorcet web site is underway. I'm upgrading it to the HTML5 standard and that should be done by next week (hah. I hope).

Once that update is done I will upload new versions of the Firestone chapters and some of the Emeraldstone chapters too.

In the books I'm occasionally going back to Firestone (the first one) to add more information/color. This is a bad habit but in a series, and with a new fantasy world, I suppose it's inevitable. But mostly I ...

Firestone revision complete. Emeraldstone revision underway.

Monday, 30 May, 2011: Done with Firestone. Just added a few items, mostly lines form movies (Tachi quotes them often), I will update the web site sample chapters today.  If I have time I'll look into the Twitter and Facebook accounts, I have those but they're not set up. Probably do that in the next week.

I had also experimented with starting a guild, called, oddly enough, Sorcet Chronicles, on the Winterhoof (US) server for World of Warcraft. But I also work 12 hours per day and didn't have time to play much, let ...

Revising Firestone and Emeraldstone, working on Sandstone

Monday, 23 May, 2011: Firestone is agent-ready and I'm starting to send that around. I still think of things to add but that's a bad habit and I should stop it. Emeraldstone (book #2 in the series) is done and being rewritten for about the third time. that's how these things work. When AIm done with the latest edit of Firestone, I'll resume sending it to agents and publishers, and take up the writing on Sandstone.

If you thought giant ants in Firestone were horrible, or that the bad guy in Emeraldstone was evil, ...

First book, The Firestone, is complete.

Monday, 13 September, 2010: Completed the first of the five-book series. The Firestone brings Tachi and Caitlin from Earth, thorugh the FIrestone Portal and into the world of Tessene, and on through adventures and training to be taidar to a Gray Guild deru named Sorcet. Now it's time to close the portal, which is inconveniently located in the center of a Stinger hive.  You can read about it at the website: CLICK HERE
