120215 Building agent list

Wednesday, 15 February, 2012 I'm re-doing my agent list. I actually find this fun, strangely enough. I have not yet decided to:

1. Go with traditional publishing only - in which case I need an agent and/or publisher.

2. Self-publish through any of several POD (print on Demand) publishers.

3. Go with making my own ebook(s) (and, if so, with which of many companies).

4. Sell the books directly off my own web site. I have already created a separate PayPal account for that if I need it.

5. Some combination of the above.

We writers today certainly have lots of options. Problem is, those options may not generate much profit and may suck up our time instead. I have been reluctant to get into the ebook business, too, because I felt a little intimidated by the learning curve needed to get into this. And I didn't have a cover illustration. Well, I know of people who don't have any computer-savvy, and people who were born back when typewriters were a new things - and they are happily e-publishing. I should be competent enough to do as well as they have done.

Oh. And I made up some book covers for The Firestone. Pretty spiffy, too, if you ask me.
